Aviva Women’s Tour, Saturday June 18th, the finish was on Broad Street in Stoke-on-Trent part of 2016 European City of Sport and Lyme RC had access to the whole of the finishing straight for an hour period before the women’s race finish which made GO-RIDE Racing the ideal. To start the session there will be some, every rider will then take part in an individual TT which will place them in a Sprint ladder in groups of 4 riders. With riders moving up or down on ladder with each race this ensure some exciting close races throughout the event with rider racing others of similar ability. The racing was finished off with some slow races up to the line finish gantry.
Medals and certificates were presented on the Official podium by one of the Lyme RC Young Volunteers Sallie Birchall. “The kids all had a great time with the races and all the photo opportunities that come with being part of the bigger event, you can’t get better than finish line photos and being on a big podium” Said Coach Norman Bassett.
The parents all enjoyed the races and came back with nothing other than good feedback and the youth riders went away with smiles. It was also good to see all the kids and parents stayed to watched the end of the women’s race along with a lot of other Lyme members.
